Finally.

So after living in our house for a year, the city finally moved the bus stop about 20-30 feet east of where it was. It was about 5 feet from our driveway. I didn't like having it so close to our yard, where the kids played. I'm glad it's not as close to our house.

Spa Party???

If I was to host a spa party would anyone like to attend? There will be no obligations to buy anything. It would just be a day of fun and relaxation.

First 5K, and I wasen't Last!!!!!

So this weekend Shelley, Troy, & I ran a 5k. I was a little nervous about running it. I've run over 3 miles the past few weeks, and did okay, but for some reason it's been difficult. I've had very sore shins the past couple of weeks, and it doesn't make it very fun or easy to run several miles.
I was just praying that I wouldn't be last and that I wouldn't get lost along the way. I know I have pretty silly fears!! Anyway, I told Shelley and Troy to run ahead because I run much slower than they do. It ended up that I wasn't alone. A friend of ours, Sharity Earl, was there and she ran all but the last block with me, which Braxton ran with me. Braxton wanted to run the whole thing with me, but come on 3 miles for a 3 yr old. So I told him he could run the last block with me, and he had fun. Maybe when he gets older he will run some races with me.
I must admit that I did pretty good. I ran it in 33 min and 35 sec. I'm not exactly sure of the seconds. But I had been running the 3 miles in 40-45 min. So not bad for my first 5K. I think I'll do some more this summer.
So the photo's are backwards. The last one is of all of us at the starting line. Troy came in 13th, which is way awesome. Shelley came in a little bit after him and of course the slowest member of the 3 of us, Braxton & I.

About a week ago Steve & I went to a movie and had Grandma watch Braxton and Madison. When I put Braxton to bed he said he couldn't close his eyes because they would crack.

Retreat

So I was thinking of doing a one day hiking retreat. How about if we go hiking about 7 am, have lunch(either while hiking or somewhere else), and get manicures/pedicures. Would anyone be up for it? If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know.

Adorable

Today Braxton & Brinley were sitting by the coffee table on buckets. They were both folding their arms and Braxton was helping Brinley say a prayer. He would say something and Brinley would repeat it. It was the cutest think I have ever seen. We must be doing something right.
